Born and raised in Sonoma County, Jolene Johnson has taught at the Santa Rosa Junior College since January of 2023.  She is also the dance director at Analy High School and instructor at the Movement Lab dance studio.  Jolene has the capacity to teach intro to dance movement, jazz, modern, hip-hop, and Latin styles.  She received her dance certificates at the SRJC, before getting her BA in Liberal Arts and minor in Kinesiology at SSU.  She has her teaching credentials in multiple subjects, physical education, and dance.  She received an additional dance certificate in professional standards and excellence with The National Dance Education Organization (NDEO) in 2019 and her master's in dance education with CSULB in 2020.  Jolene loves teaching all students find their creative selves, build confidence, performance, and community.  She is beyond excited to work at the SRJC to share her passion for movement with her local community.
